Oboé is a visual poem about identity. Using contemporary dance, we navigate through an Alzheimer's patient memories. Static noise fragments come and go as she tries to piece the present together. All for the rush of living those moments again. Heart and Mind share individual ownership of those memories. "I wanted to investigate the relation between memories and dancing. Movements and human touches are used in a way to navigate and trigger different feelings." - Vinicius Naldi (director) Credits Written and Directed by Vinicius Naldi Produced by Chris Lewis and Sardor Kazi Cinematography by Bryce Lansing Edited by Victor Jory and Vinicius Naldi Original Score by Roger Lima at WhiteNoiseLab Graded by Matt Osborne at The Mill Special Thanks Good People Industries: Richard Bergman Studios60: Joseph Enayati Casting: Blok M Casting Executive Producer: Ben Leiser Story: Stefano Matteo Lidar Scan: Freddy Parra Jr. Aerial Cinematography: Skyecam Dancers: Morgan Quinn, Lydia Purvesware Choreographer: Raquel Fraticelli Actress: Barbara Pergament Voice Over: Victoria Hogan Casting: Michael Beaudry Storyboard: Marcus Park 1st AC: Magnus Person BTS Stills: Lisa Kim Stylist: Tessa Maneewong Makeup: Janelle Macandile "Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another type of dementia."
